Libba Bray

Yea so there is this series by Libba Bray that i think some of you might like. Its a trilogy the first one is A Great and Terrible Beauty, the second one is Rebel Angels and at the moment im reading the last book in the series called The Sweet Far Thing
These books are set in london around the 1800s (i think). The main character is Gemma Doyle whose mother is killed while they are living in India so she is sent to a private school in London. When she gets there she discovers her mother was once a part of a secret orginization called the Order. She has inheirited her mothers powers and can enter a world called the Realms. Through the three books you follow Gemma through her trials of figureing out what to do with her powers and what to do about the young Indian boy, Kartik, whom she has fallen in love with but is forbidden to be with.
So there is my "breif" discription i personally think its amazing. So if your interested read it. O and expect it to be a lenghty read (expecially The Sweet Far Thing its 819 pgs. or something crazy like that)

I just finished reading these books! At first i thought it was kind of boring but by the time she met Pippa and Felicity i could hardly bring myself to stop reading. And usually that kind of present writing style annoys me, like how its "i say" or "he says" or something but i found i really enjoyed all three books. The last one was my favorite though.

yea im almost done with the last book and i definatly think its the best im so close to being done but i dont want to finish because amanda told me the ending is sad (but happy?) so i want to know what happens but i dont at the same time

i really hope she comes out with a fourth book where she goes back and gets Kartik back because i think it needs a happy ending

i dont think there would be a fourth book and i like the way it ended. if she went back and got Kartik it would just screw everything up and make it all dumb.
the ending was sad but it tied everything up. which is good.

yea i guess your right but it made me sad then again i think the end is kind of saying that shes just going to keep going on with life
